Eligible employees who wish to enroll in the UT group insurance program will receive the basic coverage package consisting of:
- UT Select Medical for Employee Only
- UT Select Prescription Drug Plan for Employee Only
- $50,000 Group Term Life Insurance for Employee Only
- $50,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment for Employee Only
Eligible employees who wish to gain coverage beyond the basic coverage package may enroll themselves and eligible dependents in the following optional insurance benefits:

Where can I find my insurance information?

- For your personal benefits selection, please log into My UT Benefits Portal using your EID and password.
How do I get my insurance card?
- You can request your insurance card using UT System's Employee Benefits Resource page.
Why do I not have insurance?
- If you are a new employee, please ensure your onboarding is complete and you have waited one business day before contacting the HRSC for assistance.
- If you are not a new employee and you do not have insurance, please contact the Human Resources Service Center with your full name and EID.
What documents can I use for proof of coverage?
- If you require proof of coverage to add your dependent, required documents may vary depending on the dependent. See the list of required documents.
Why wasn’t my life change document approved?
- Please refer to the list of Evidence of Eligibility documentation and ensure that your documentation aligns with the required evidence.
- If you are experiencing a loss or gain of coverage, please provide your employer letterhead or insurance company letterhead. It must explicitly state:
- The name of the person or people that are losing or gaining coverage by full name
- Specify what kind of coverage is being lost (e.g. medical, dental, and/or vision)
- Specify termination date of the coverage or coverages.
- If your document has all 3 requirements and is still denied, please reach out to the HRSC for assistance.
