Discover what life was like during the Ice Ages through hands-on experiences and family-friendly activities, like story time, fossil exploration and Ice Age art studio activities. Activities take place in the museum’s new hands-on Discovery Center and are included with admission. (Admission is always free for UT staff, faculty and students with a current ID).

Explore the science of spectroscopy at Texas Science & Natural History Museum in its special exhibit, Big Eye on Dark Skies, featuring a scale model of the Hobby-Eberly Telescope. Watch a live, hands-on demonstration and experience the hidden rainbow of light that illuminates the composition of elements in distant stars and galaxies! Included with museum admission. .
