Applying for University Vacancies

Current employees and contingent workers MUST apply through the internal job posting site within Workday. Simply type “Find Jobs” into the search bar to navigate to the list of open jobs. Follow the Workday Instructional Guide, Find and Apply for Job (Internal), for step by step instructions. This guide includes details on finding jobs, updating your professional profile and reviewing your current job profile details and the application process.

Searching for Job Openings

When searching for jobs, employees are able to filter open job by the following categories:

  • Full/Part-time
  • Job Category
  • Job Family
  • Job Profile
  • Job Type
  • Organization

Once you find a job requisition that matches your education and work experience, click the Apply button.

  • Please confirm that you are eligible for the job posting before applying, e.g. employed in current position for six continuous months, per HOP 5-2330 Promotion/Transfer Policy-Classified Employees.
  • If you need to update any information, right click on "Go to Professional Profile" and open in a new tab.
  • Review required materials for the job posting prior to applying and please upload all documents as requested. If other additional materials are required, e.g. letter of interest, employment references, transcript, etc., click on "Upload" when trying to add each additional document.
  • Please ensure that you have listed a personal e-mail address in the Contact section of your Worker Profile.  Otherwise, Recruiters will not be able to contact you regarding your application via the Workday system.

IMPORTANT: Job applicants are expected to carefully read the job posting before applying. In addition to your resume, 3 work references will also be required. Then, the department may also ask for further materials such as a letter of interest, transcripts, writing sample, etc. If you do not upload all of the Required Materials, your application may not be considered by the Hiring Manager/Recruiter.
