Building Community During Times of Change - Psychology of Spending

Event Status
Scheduled

Join us on Friday, January 19th, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. for Psychology of Spending. Do you ever wonder why you left the mall with $500 worth of clothes when you were not planning to get anything or bought one pair of shoes over another? It is not just personal preference. Psychologists have found that there are several forces that govern our consumer behavior and cause us to make decisions that are not necessarily rational or in our best interest. However, understanding why we buy what we buy can help us make better choices in the future.

This session is presented by Cynthia R. Mayberry and Derion Jackson of UFCU. Cynthia and Derion are Business Development Managers with 4o years of combined finance experience and a shared passion for improving their client's lives through financial health education.

UT staff and faculty can sign up through UTLearn and retirees can email eap@austin.utexas.edu.
