This participatory workshop will introduce an empathetic communication model of feelings, needs, and requests. Participants will practice a using this model as framework for understanding and responding to needs in the workplace, and communicating with understanding and empathy. This workshop covers some content of “Understanding and Communicating Your Needs in the Workplace” and expands into more depth, with more practice activities and group discussion.

Join us for weekly virtual meetings on Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. beginning Tuesday, 10/13/26. Our support group is for caregivers in the UT community who care for other adults such as parents or partners. Group members will have an opportunity to share their experiences, get support, learn about topics such as community resources, and discuss the importance of maintaining work/life balance. The group will consist of the same members during the 6 weeks. All current employees and retirees are welcome to join.
