Make an Impact Through The Hearts of Texas
The Hearts of Texas is UT Austin’s annual charitable giving campaign and part of the statewide State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC).
Every October, as a UT Austin employee, you can pledge a monthly payroll deduction to a statewide or local charitable organization and support a cause that matters to you and is closest to your heart.
Since this effort began in 1996, UT Austin’s employees have donated $19 million to worthy causes across Texas.

Follow three simple steps:
1. Choose an amount.
Select a contribution that is meaningful and manageable for you, starting at $2 per month and going up to whatever amount you choose.
Every contribution — no matter the amount — can make a real difference.
2. Select the causes you want to give to.
Explore the SECC 2026 Charities Directory and choose from participating local and statewide charities— or divide your contribution among several organizations. You can also help fellow Longhorns by selecting 228176 UT Austin Staff/Student Financial Assistance.
If you prefer to give an undesignated gift, it will be divided among all participating charitable agencies in the campaign area.
3. Make your pledge.
Complete the online pledge form to give via monthly payroll deduction.
Make Your Pledge
1. Open the onlne Pledge Form
2. Select Payroll Deduction.
3. Enter your chosen agency code or codes and monthly amount. The minimum pledge is $2 per month.
4. Choose any acknowledgment preferences.
5. Select Submit your gift to complete your pledge.
6. Save or print a copy of the submitted form for your records.
