Yoga for Anxiety at PRC

While yoga generally helps with stress reduction, there are specific tools and approaches in yoga that are designed to moderate the anxious mind and body. In this interactive workshop on Tuesday 9/26/23 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at PRC, Jamie Justus LCSW-S, RYT will outline yoga for anxiety principles in asana (physical postures), breathing techniques, self-talk, and meditation. In addition, participants will get to experience 20-30 minutes of a yoga practice designed to incorporate these practices. The space is limited and reserved for PRC employees.



The yoga practice will be beginner friendly and is at a slower pace than most public yoga classes. Please bring your own mat if you have one. If you need seated yoga, please email us at eap@austin.utexas.edu so that we know how many chairs to bring.
