The Grand Opening Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 23, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission is free all day long, and all ages are welcome! Tour the newly renovated building, come see our exciting new exhibits, and find more fun for the whole family, including:
- Hands-on activities led by local nature and wildlife groups
- Live music by local band Tiger Alley
- A performance by the members of Texas Cheer
- Austin Public Library’s Bookmobile
Enjoy light bites and beverages provided by HEB, the official sponsor of the Grand Opening Celebration, and watch an official ribbon cutting at noon. Texas Science & Natural History Museum on the campus of UT Austin engages, excites, and connects curious minds of all ages to the unique and irreplaceable natural history of the State of Texas.
