Note: Attendance in any HR Essentials Course must be approved by portfolio’s HR Executive (member of HR Consortium) prior to participant registering. Effective conflict resolution leads parties into win-win scenarios and develops stronger workplace relationships. This session offers a unique look at employee relations issues through the eyes of a trained facilitator and mediator and will ask participants to consider the value of collaborative processes in creative problem-solving. Participants will learn about the Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Office’s dispute system design and alternative process menu options. Through interest and needs-based approaches, participants can learn to walk, talk, and think like a mediator in difficult conversations and conflict situations.
